We are steadily growing with new students 

~ catch the wave of chung do kwan! ~

thousands of years in the making, modern martial art in south korea was founded in 1944 by great-grandmaster won-kuk lee, and was called "chung do kwan" - school of the blue wave.  the united states chung do kwan association (uscdka) was founded in trenton, Michigan in 1967 by Sr. Grandmaster Edward B. Sell, who became a living legend as the highest ranked non-Asian in the world, earning a 9th Degree black belt. 

Blue Knight taekwondo in bridgman, Michigan was founded in 1978 by chief master D. j. Eisenhart.  moving into its current location at 9880 maple st., in 2011, we are the areas only full time, authentically certified school of taekwondo chung do kwan as an official chartered branch of the uscdka, and direct lineage of the original chung do Kwan.  as of 2017, Associate grandmaster eisenhart celebrates 52 years studying the martial art, including 39 years as an instructor of Korean taekwondo.
